• Smith Center for Recreational Sports 574-631-3068

  • Located on the 3rd floor of Duncan Student Center. Fully equipped student gym open from early in the morning until late at night. 

• Climbing and Bouldering Wall at the Smith Center:

  • Rock climbing wall open for students, located on the 2nd floor of Duncan Student Center 

• Rockne Memorial Gym 574-631-5297

  • Located on West Quad next to Lyons Hall. Grants all students access to a pool, racquetball/squash courts,  as well as a fully equipped gym. This gym is smaller with much less equipment than the Smith Center. 

• North Dome 574-631-0837

  • Located at Gate 2 of the Joyce Center. Grants students access to Badminton, Pickleball, and Volleyball courts. 

• St. Joseph Beach:

  • Located on St. Joe’s Lake.  

• Club Sports (ndclubsports@nd.edu):

  • Students can register for a variety of club sports teams through RecSports. They offer coed as well as single sex sports teams, teams that travel across the country to compete against other schools, and are a great way to further immerse yourself in the community and meet new people. There are a variety of options from soccer to waterskiing. 

• Fitness Classes:

  • From weekly group fitness classes to private training, RecSports offers access to numerous fitness classes typically held in the Smith Center for Recreational Sports. Most of the group fitness classes require a small fee of around 3$, while the individual training can cost more. 

• Intramural Sports:

  • If you’re looking for something less intense than club sports, you may want to join intramural sports. Students can register through IMLeagues ND and participate in a variety of sports with friends. 

• Interhall Sports:

  • A subcategory of Intramural sports, interhall teams are a great way to become more involved with your hall community while competing against other halls in your favorite sports, or learning a new sport! 

 

All dorms also have fitness rooms within them that typically have a treadmill, a bike, and some form of weights whether it be free weights or squat racks, etc.
